This year’s fruit for Ocean’s Ghost was grown in my 1 ½ acre "Laboratory". It is within my Laboratory that all of my radical farming ideas are in play. It is in the Laboratory that I have formulated a new farming system, “Integrated Nature”, which works in harmony with the nature of the vines (Vitis vinifera) and the forces that are in play, namely gravity, sun and wind.

One taste of this wine is like a declaration that Pinot Noir likes Integrated Nature. The wine is earthy, dark, rich and complex. Essentially it has all the hallmarks of all my great single-vineyard Pinots. At the same time, it’s a bit different from all the past Ocean’s Ghosts, because it emanates from a different soil. The focus here is on a very direct delivery of spicy cherry.
